I checked on three of my adult Rhacodactylus leachianus geckos last night and managed to get some photos with only a minimum of furious gecko bites. The biggest one, Karen, weighed 250 grams when I got her two years ago and she’s only grown since then. The male is still too shrimpy and intimidated by her to uh, get the deed done. The other, smallest gecko is also a female, and it’s possible she’ll be ready to pair with Trinket, the male, before he can get enough size to go with Karen. But as of right now, she’s too young and needs some more time to put on some size.

I just love these geckos! I’m hoping to get a Chahoua soon (all the flappiness of a leachie but with less biting). I’d really be interested in learning about the animals that you have, I know from Blue sky that you keep a huge variety
Hey Michelle, I actually recently got a Chahoua (just one juvie) in a trade with someone over the summer. Never kept them before now and they’re great. I’ll have to do a writeup on that experience as well.
Yes please!
I still stan Karen as the best name for a bitey creature with permanent “I hate you even though you feed me” face
